| Dimensions: 13.63" x 10.25"; 2 large paper divider flaps; 1 calculator pocket; 1 business/credit card pocket; Lined with pigskin, which is the 2nd toughest leather. Kangaroo is the toughest. 100% Full Grain leather, not the weaker top grain, genuine or bonded leathers. The leather is smooth, but you won't be rubbing this one on your cheek. I laugh when I hear people talk about how soft and buttery their leather was when they first received it. Basically, the tannery weakened the leather by tumbling it for several extra hours to tear the fibers apart (softening it up). They take years of life out of the leather when they do that. The same concept is done with a meat cleaver on a cut of meat to tenderize it. Firm feel because of a thin sheet of polypropylene sewn into middle of each side. Neoprene layer on each side for comfort and padding. One solid outer piece of leather so it won't fall apart at the seams. Most things come apart at the seams and so the fewer the seams the longer it'll last. Of each hide, about 20% ends up on the floor in the form of small scraps. Some manufacturers quilt together notepad holders out of a dozen scrap pieces. We don't. We use large solid pieces on every design because that's quality. ...Read more |

Buy the best, cry once. Each Saddleback Leather piece is built with thick, tough to sew full grain leather with clean unfinished edges that scratches beautifully (ages and patinas perfectly). Every work of leather is made by man not by automated machine. Because of that and the thickness, the seams and stitches aren't always precisely spaced, but they sure are strong. They are not perfect and that's what makes them perfect. Our craftsmen use the toughest thread around and stout rivets on all stress points. We refuse to use zippers, snaps or anything that'll eventually break. If you want a flawless mass produced pretty boy bag made for the masses, by the masses, your search is not over. You might find a small scar or two on your leather (which was the least of the bull's ill fortune). That's the beauty of full grain boot leather. Photos of these briefcases all over the world and the differences of full grain, top grain, genuine an bonded leather are on the website. These are handmade, to last longer and age better than you ever will.

| 100 Year warranty - If it goes before you do, we'll fix it or replace it for free. No worries here, because there's nothing to break. It's just leather and thread. We use only thick Full grain leather; not weaker Top grain, Genuine or Bonded. The top layer has the toughest and tightest fibers of the leather (grain) and the pores that take in your oils when touched. That's why full grain ages so nicely. They won't be fighting over your Bible, just the cover. There aren't any breakable parts - No zippers, snaps, buttons or any other breakable parts. How much is a billion dollar submarine worth with a cardboard hatch? The stout industrial marine-grade Polyester UV resistant thread we use is used for airbags, sails, work boots and other heavy-duty applications. There's none better that I know of. I ought to keep an extra spool in my truck for towing. ...Read more |
